 Intermittent motion mechanism 

Periodic motion with constant breaks at output w.r.t. given continuous output .

Steering mechanisms

These mechanisms are used to change the direction of motion.

1. Ackerman steering mechanism

a) Having only turning pairs .

b) Wear is too less.

c) Life is too high.

d) Exact at mid position and two extreme positions.

e) Law of steering is satisfied.





2. Davis steering mechanism

a) Having turning pairs and sliding pairs.

b) Because of sliding pair wear is too high.

c) Life is too less.

d) Exact at all turning positions.

e) Law of steering is satisfied at all positions.
